CSR
CSR or Corporate Social Responsibility is a popular term in retailing right now. But what does it actually mean? Well, at Warehouse it comes down to caring. That’s caring how our product is made and minimising the impact that has on the environment and to implement the best business practices possible to care for our people.
Ways in which we care
• We produce an extensive range of fashion garments and accessories sourced from a valued set of suppliers who we view as an extension of our own business. In partnership with our suppliers, we are committed to a code of conduct based on the ETI base code www.ethicaltrade.org. This promotes ethical working conditions and sustainable environmental practices.
• All Warehouse fashion ranges are designed by our in-house design team.
• We use natural fibres such as silk and cotton throughout our ranges and we have developed organic sources for cotton and linen.
Recycling
• Recycling of consumables is carried out throughout our business and we plan to recycle clothing to reduce waste even further.
• Recycling of returns. All returned items go to New Life, a charitable foundation for disabled and terminally ill children in the UK. www.newlifecharity.co.uk
