Millie Cotton’s blog itsaldnthing is a must-read for all city slickers; it gives an insight to what’s hot and what’s not in the fashion capitol as well as a healthy dose of Millie’s own style. As well as fashion It’s a LDN thing is great for swatting up on the newest music.
Why did you start blogging?
I began blogging during my first year at university as I was studying journalism and was really interested specifically in fashion and music and what with so much spare time, I decided to channel those interests somewhere!
Who are your favourite bloggers?
Ivania Carpio from Love Aesthetics is probably my favorite blogger. There is so much attention to detail and she comes up with the most insane DIY ideas.
What is your earliest fashion memory?
Probably the bright, beautiful Oilily dresses that my mum used to dress me in as a toddler paired with patent kickers. Oilily is a Dutch brand but I’m not sure whether or not it’s around anymore!
My perfect Christmas is…
Spent on the slopes followed by a chalet Christmas dinner with a fire. I love those Christmases with my family.
If I could have Christmas dinner with anyone it would be…
Father Christmas or Karl Lagerfield. Either would be equally as hilarious I’m sure.
You have incredible personal style; what’s your best styling tip?
The most obvious! Don’t wear what doesn’t make you feel comfortable. It always shows.
What is your dream fashion item?
I’d love a piece of the SS14 Alexander Wang collection. That was insane!
Which celebrity’s style do you admire?
Kate Bosworth’s style is incredible. So sleek yet so simple.
Totally agree. She’s a stunner. Describe your style in three words.
Eclectic, casual, minimal
How was working with Warehouse?
Working with Warehouse was fun but also a great challenge as I stepped out of my comfort zone with what I wore for the shoot. The team were wonderful and made the whole experience really easy!
What is on your Christmas wishlist?
What isn’t! I need a new phone case and iPad case – I’ve had my eye on both Mulberry and Kenzo ones of those. I’d love a spa day to chill out and take a break from hectic London life!
