Kate Moss has this week revealed that her style heroes are two of music's most legendary names, David Bowie and Mick Jagger.
In an interview with Stylist magazine, she said: "I was watching The Rolling Stones films, which are quite inspiring, and, all of a sudden, I was finding tasselled leather jackets in my wardrobe – very Mick Jagger. David Bowie also really inspires me."
The music industry has long been a source of inspiration for fans, with styles continuously updating.
In 2013 there are many women in the spotlight, each of which could encourage you to be more creative with your style.
For a vintage vibe there are icons such as Florence Welch and Lana Del Rey who combine bouffant hairstyles of the 60s with floppy hats, maxi dresses and colourful lipstick of the 70s.
On the urban scene there are stars like Rita Ora and Rihanna, who have totally redesigned streetwear, by wearing graphic prints mixed with sporty styles and gold jewellery.
There are also more classic icons out there who prefer a preppy, girlier look.
Zooey Deschanel is famed for her quirky all-American style, with her brunette bangs and penchant for bright colours.
To capture her look wear a high-waisted skirt with a printed button-up blouse, colourful pumps, topped off with some black sunglasses.
Dress up the outfit with an 50s-style retro handbag and matte red lipstick to finish the Zooey look.
